The Monocacy Canoe Club offers this page as 'bulletin board' for non-commercial announcements. Notices posted here will remain available for a period longer than possible on the Message Board. MCC provides this page as a means to pass along information. Qualified announcements will be posted as written and MCC is not responsible for errors in notices or problems arising from them. Posting here does not indicate any association with MCC.
Notices can be submitted via email. Please send a simple text message that can be pasted directly to this page without reformatting. If possible, post your notice to the Message Board and then send an email mentioning that post and it can be copied to this page.
10 Reasons to Volunteer for POTOMACFEST, July 11th and 12th

- #10  all the cool kids are doing it!
- #9  girls like guys that volunteer!
- #8  then I have a place to set my coat and beer down at the party on Saturday night (July 11th)
- #7  I get to go to the volunteers-only party for beer and pizza with the cool kids
- #6  it will make Risa happy
- #5  i'll get a chance to meet awesome boaters with cute butts
- #4  wtf, i've got nothing better to do
- #3  maybe i'll get a chance to meet geoff calhoun, 'cause he's volunteering too
- #2  its an easy way to get good river karma and, drum roll.....

2nd Annual DRWF Paddle for the Cure - Support Diabetes Research

When: Saturday, July 11th @ 9am

About the Event:

• Paddlers of all abilities are invited to join in the 2nd Annual Paddle for the Cure event.

• You can bring your own equipment or rent a canoe or kayak.

• Raise money for diabetes research while enjoying the beautiful scenery of the Wye River on a nature tour.

• Each participant is required to raise a minimum of $200. Participants are eligible for incentive prizes when they go beyond the $200 goal.
