The 20th Annual Potomac River Watershed Cleanup is scheduled for Sat. April 5th from 9:00am- 12:00pm, with a paddling trip down the river following the cleanup.
Hopefully there will be 3 crews in 3 different locations
1]C&O Canal
2] wide spot, along Rt 340, where all the boaters park for play.
3] Bakerton Tunnel, the put in for the Needles section of the Potomac, WV side.
Plan is to meet @ Cindy Dees Restaurant@ 8:30- 8:45A, off RT 340, just before or after Potomac Bridge, depending on which way you are coming from.
Gloves and trash bags will be provided by National Park Service, feel free to bring your own gloves if desired.
For more info please go to http://www.potomaccleanup.org/ then click the Potomac River Watershed Cleanup tab
Rain or shine, it will be happening. Please email[potrash@bolivarwv.us if planning to attend.
Should be a good time, and tell any tubers, partyers on the rocks out there to watch out, rangers will be on patrol, fining litter'ers if caught, anything to try and curb the out of control dumping going on out there.
Hope to see you all there on 4/5
