Here's a way to get free beer--just paddle the Needles on any summer weekend when there are thousands of tubers on the water and their runaway beers. It's ugly paddling, but you can ALWAYS snag several drifters from overturned coolers. Of course, the longer they have been in the water the warmer they are, so you have to hope you get a recent escapee. My mantra--Get someone else to carry the cooler.
