Yes, it was a waker-upper. I was there two weeks ago, and it was possible to get past it without getting out of the boat. You had to go left to miss the first obstacle, then, in fast water, cross quickly to the right to get around a big tree in the water. Sounds like it may have gotten worse. Overall, I was pleased that it was possible to run the whole 10 miles from the gage to route 180 without getting out. I noted in my log book on past trips around 30 years ago, that that fast spot below Lewis Mill had trees and bushes in it.
