The lower section is beautiful, but it is a LONG paddle. Give yourself extra time and prepare to paddle out several miles on Bluestone Lake (backwaters of the dam). The section of river above the lake isn't much either - class I-II at the most.

Is it worth it? Only if you do the overnight and get as far down the moving water as you can find a good campsite. I've never done it, but I've talked to people that have and its a long day.
